COOKIES USED ON THE CANDÁS SARDINE FESTIVAL WEBSITE

The Carreño Town Council is responsible for the processing of own and third-party cookies on the website. These cookies allow us to improve the performance of the sections and elements present, and the provision of the services offered on our website.
WHAT IS A COOKIE?
Cookies are small files that are stored on the computer, tablet or smartphone you are using to browse a website. They are technical elements that serve to store data and transmit information to the entity responsible for installing them.
They are used to collect information relating to aspects of your browsing habits (visits, type of browser, location, links visited and their origin, time of access to the website). But we will also be able to individualise your visit by identifying the session.
TYPES OF COOKIES.
Cookies may be proprietary (sent to the user's terminal from the domain of the party providing the service to the user) or third-party (sent to the user's terminal by a third party other than the party of the domain providing the service to the user).
Depending on their duration, they may be Session cookies (used to collect and store data while the user accesses a website and are deleted from the browser at the end of the session or when the browser is closed) or Persistent cookies (the data is stored on the device for a period defined by the data controller, even up to several years)
The cookies used may be of a technical nature (they allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and use the various options or services provided), they may customise the visit (allow the user to access the service with some general predefined features based on a series of criteria in the user's terminal), analysis cookies (allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of the users of the websites to which they are linked, using this information to measure the activity of the websites and to draw up user browsing profiles).
WHAT COOKIES DO WE USE?
We use analytical cookies, which, together with information from the hosting server, provide us with information relating to the number of visits to our website and the sections that are most popular. If you are on our website, cookies will record your session and referrals.
Our cookies are analytical because they allow us to monitor and analyse the behaviour of the users of the websites to which they are linked. This information is used to measure the activity of the websites and to create user browsing profiles. Some of them are necessary, and without them, the website itself or some of its sections or content cannot be displayed. Others are functional.

DO YOU ACCEPT OUR COOKIES?
When you access the Carreño Town Council website, a banner informing you about the existence of cookies will be displayed and you can choose between several options.
Remember that you must authorise the installation of our cookies. If you do not agree, you can change the settings as explained below.
HOW TO CONFIGURE/MANAGE COOKIES
Any user of a website can uninstall or decide not to authorise the installation of cookies. Most browsers offer ways to control how cookies behave. Do this by using the browser's settings. Look under configuration/settings. You can use a private or incognito browsing mode.
PRIVATE BROWSING MODE
You can use the private or incognito browsing mode that most browsers on the market provide.
When you use the private mode, the sites visited are not saved, tracking cookies are not stored, the download history is not saved, and login data is not archived. No passwords or form information is stored.
This mode does not prevent the internet provider from knowing which websites you have accessed. The IP used by the user is still visible. In addition, access in private mode does not protect against cyber-attacks.
To access private browsing in Chrome, go to the configuration tool and select New Incognito Window; in Edge, go to the configuration tool and selects New InPrivate Window; in Firefox, go to File and select New Private Window; in IE 11, go to Tools, Security and then select InPrivate Browsing; and, in Opera, go to the Menu and select New Private Window.
